A little bit about me...
I’ve called the High Country home for over 20 years, building a true connection to this community and a passion for helping others find their place here. I earned my degree in Building Science and Appropriate Technology from Appalachian State University, which has been an incredible asset to my clients. I have a strong understanding of home construction, energy efficiency, plumbing, electrical systems, and renewable energy, and I enjoy using that knowledge to help people see the full picture of a home...not just the surface-level features.
Before entering real estate, I worked as the business manager for a structural engineering firm and collaborated with the ASU Energy Center on advancing home energy standards across North Carolina. That experience gave me a sharp eye for evaluating homes and understanding what truly adds long-term value.
As a seasoned real estate agent with extensive experience in investment properties and second homes, I bring not only professional expertise - but also a personal perspective. I'm an investor myself and have bought and sold multiple homes in the area. I understand the financial considerations and emotional moments that come with every transaction, whether it's your first home, your next investment, or your mountain getaway.
I approach every transaction with a problem-solver’s mindset and a focus on keeping things running smoothly. I’m responsive, transparent, and solutions-focused, which I know can make a big difference. With years of experience and over 300 transactions behind me, I’ve learned how to recognize issues before they arise and how to guide my clients around them with confidence. Real estate can be complex, but it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. I keep the transaction smooth, on track, and I’m committed to helping my clients make informed decisions...always putting their best interests first and guiding them with integrity and care.
Beyond real estate, I am deeply committed to the High Country community. I support a range of local nonprofits and have served as a board member for FARM Café for 5 years, a nonprofit dedicated to food security in the region. My commitment to giving back is just another way I invest in the place I’m grateful to call home.
I live in Boone with my partner Steven, our two energetic little ones (ages 4 and 10), and my two teenage stepsons who keep us up to date on all things cool (and remind us when we’re not). Our house is a blend of bedtime stories, group texts, and “what’s for dinner?” on repeat. Outside of work (and laundry), I love spending time outdoors, making art, traveling, and connecting with family and friends.
